Vision Services
Up to 85% of children with learning difficulties have vision problems. Symptoms indicating a child may benefit from vision therapy, lenses, or a combination of both include:
- poor reading speed, accuracy, and/ or comprehension
- losing his or her place or needing to use a finger or bookmark while reading
- moving head back and forth while reading
- headaches or blurred vision
- easily tires or loses attention
- eyestrain or rubbing eyes when reading
- difficulty copying and taking notes
All NVS students receive a vision screening to check their visual efficiency and visual development skills. They can then receive an eye exam or vision therapy as needed through our vision clinic.
