My name is Jill Madsen.  I am the 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts Teacher at New Visions Charter School.  I obtained my undergrad degree from Saint Cloud State University in Elementary Education (K-8).  My emphasis in this program was general education with a minor in Human Relations and Multicultural Education.  I completed my Masters degree in Education at Hamline University.  My research throughout this program was focused on equity and social justice education.  Through this program I also completed my K-12 Reading Specialist License.  Currently, I am working on my Doctoral degree in Equity and Social Justice Education as it connects to literacy as well as obtaining my administrative license.  I love all forms of art, cooking, gardening, spending time with my dog Rufus, and of course reading!
