Parent-Teacher Conferences
In an effort to promote communication between home and school, your child's progress will be reported to you by means of Conferences and report cards. You will receive information about conferences in the fall and spring. The final report will be mailed to you shortly after the end of the school year. Please help by making us aware of any address changes throughout the year.

There may be other times during the school year when a conference is necessary. You may call the school and leave a message for your child's teacher. At that time, further arrangements can be made for a conference.

Parent Teacher Organization
The goal of the PTO at NVA is to work with the faculty and staff in providing children an exceptional educational experience. Through the PTO, parents are kept updated on school and other information pertaining to NVA's elementary students. Our PTO also raises money to support enrichment activities, technology, field trips and other activities not included in the school budget. By having a child at NVA you are automatically a member of the PTO. We encourage you to become involved in your child's education by being a member of our PTO. Watch for PTO meeting dates in your child's Wednesday folders.

Parent Resources
At NVA we know that parents are a very big influence in their child's life. We also know that parenting is not an easy job. To help deal with parenting we have parenting books and videos available for checkout as well as many pamphlets covering various topics. These resources are located in the Kretch Parent Library located across from the front office.

Volunteer Opportunities
In one of the first Wednesday envelopes your child brings home, you will receive a Volunteer Opportunities packet. This lists the volunteer needs, opportunities, and expectations at New Visions Academy. One of the best ways to get to know your school is to volunteer. Your help is welcomed and encouraged.

All volunteers must sign in, in the office and get their volunteer badge before going to the classroom. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with volunteers regularly.
